What is Acemannan?
Acemannan is not a drug. It is not chemotherapy. It is not poisonous or toxic. It does NOT have side effects. Acemannan is extremely safe and doses can be increased as needed. Treatment with it can be agressive. There is no harm in giving extra acemannan. The only thing that happens is there is no additional benefit if the maximum stimulation of the immune system has already occured. Acemannan is a natural substance derived from the Aloe Vera plant. Acemannan is a true miracle of nature. Acemannan works by stimulating the immune system. With this stimulation, the body is able to fight its own battles against disease, including a virus for which there is no cure. Acemannan will not cure feline leukemia or any other disease, but it will help to put the disease into remission. Remission means that the disease has been beaten back to a point where it no longer affects the person or animal that has the disease. They appear cured, or they at least appear to be much better, and a normal or much more normal life is possible. Remission may continue for a long time, even years. Maintenance doses of Acemannan can help to ensure that the disease remains in remission. Acemannan has been approved for veterinary use. Even though it is not a drug, it is controlled and must be obtained by a licensed veterinarian. Please see the information below regarding where to get Acemannan. The cost is approximately $200 for a box of four 10ml bottles of the substance. This could provide four to twelve doses depending on how it is used. Thus, it is not as expensive at it may initially seem.Feline Leukemia Can Be Treated
