~ A Note About Credit Card Processing ~

Our credit card processing is safe and secure online. Look for the "https" at the top of your browser when the credit card page is shown. The "S" stands for "Secure". You can also find a picture of a padlock at the lower right of your browser, also signifying a secure connection. Contacting us any other way, such as by mail, fax, or phone is also safe and secure. BUT, please do not use email to send credit card information. Email is not secure. The bad guys are out there looking for credit card information in email. Keep them looking! And for your privacy, we do not share your personal information with anyone for any reason. Period.

We've had a number of comments from people who seem to be surprised that we charge their credit card before we process and send their order. Rest assured that if your card has been charged, your order has been received and is being processed. Charging the credit card is the first step in preparing our orders for shipment. It's not an automatic system that charges your card and throws away the order! But, no money, no product, so we check the cards first. It's that simple. That's how it always works when we shop. However, I did recently shop at a website that turned out to be something other than what it pretended to be. Some web businesses have no inventory. They set up a website and act like they have items for sale. However, they do not. If you order something, they order it from someone else and then send it to you. Or it is shipped directly from their supplier (drop shipped), never touching their hands at all. This is different from an affiliate program. An affiliate program is a legitimate business relationship and you, the customer, are aware of the arrangement. These other websites are simply engaging in less than honest business practices. These folks don't charge your credit card until the item is shipped, probably because they are not handling the merchandise.

Checking the credit cards first protects both you and ourselves. Otherwise, we risk losing money not only on the actual ordered items, but on processing time, printed labels and invoices, packaging supplies, etc. We want to be here a long time providing beautiful products for you! After we process the credit card, we make a mailing label, then proceed to selecting and stringing your crystals. Each order receives our close personal attention. We are a legitimate and honest business, with lots of products right here on hand in our own facility. We are very safe to deal with and we certainly appreciate the honesty and just general wonderful, cheerful, and loving personalities of the many great customers that we have the privilege to serve every day! If you think that Sundrop Crystal looks like an ignorant or naive small business, and an easy mark for using a stolen credit card, you are WRONG. Please don't waste our time. We will call the bank about every stolen card. We will report your email. We wish we could do more to stop you. You waste our time and aggravate us and take our attention away from the wonderful honest folks who are waiting to enjoy the crystals they have ordered. Just stay away. You won't get anything from us, and we know how to contact the FBI. Take your bad dealings somewhere else. We don't see you often, but we don't want to see you at all. We're not talking about occasional credit card problems that can happen to anyone. We're talking about placing an order designed to trick us and knowingly using a credit card that is not yours. We have zero tolerance for you. Don't try.

This is a message for any website owner who has been solicited by "Safe Shopping Network". They contact websites to try to sell advertising on their site, and offer services that don't get provided.

Here's what happened to Sundrop Crystal. Safe Shopping Network pretends to be a company that seeks out websites that are "safe" to shop at. They SELL advertising space on their website in order to promote this "community" of safe websites. They promise that lots of traffic will be generated from this community advertising website. They promise a specific volume of traffic. They don't monitor the traffic. They offer a money back guarantee on the traffic. This money back guarantee is flatly a lie.

The traffic did not materialize. None. Zero. Possibly one hit a month if I checked my own listing and clicked the link from there. The money back guarantee did not materialize. They have repeatedly lied about refund checks that have been mailed and have myseriously not been received. They pretend that there must be something wrong with the address that they have on file. They make up stories about the "accounting department". They have ignored the Better Business Bureau. They don't even bother to lie to me anymore, they simply ignore me.

The people pretending to be promoting "safe shopping" are quite shady indeed. If they offer their services to your business, RUN!! They are not safe! They will never refund your money, in spite of their "guarantee". Spend your money somewhere else, like on dinner for yourself and your friends or a weeks' vacation. It will be a much better investment than paying Safe Shopping Network. They are not safe at all. How can they say that anyone else is?
